OSO is a really nice dog with an incredibly strong spirit and will to survive. He has been through so much. Poor Oso originally came to us with a painful joint disorder. Medication and other treatments eventually resolved that issue. Then he was diagnoaed with a serious condition called laryngeal stricture, which made it extremely difficult for him to breathe. It was really touch and go for him for a while until it was decided that he needed surgery to survive. He’s currently recovering from his second cutting-edge surgery to open his airway. With the excellent medical care from the Veterinary team and all the love, dedication and care from the staff, the volunteers at DAWG and his wonderful foster family, Oso is doing well. He may remain under medical care for quite some time. Through out this whole ordeal, Oso has remained a lovely dog with a great disposition. He is completely potty trained and has wonderful household manners. He listens very well and sits on command. He is not at all destructive, absolutely the opposite. He is calm and patient. Oso likes to be near people. Oso is is as sweet and gentle as they come; he’s also very affectionateand really enjoys being the center of attention; laying on the grass in the shade, taking walks, getting belly rubs and having his soft coat gently brushed. He will need to be the only dog in the household.
Oso is currently resting and recovering in a loving foster home.
Thank you Erica, and your wonderful husband for including Oso as a member of your family during his recovery. It has bade such a big difference. You are the best!
