The following list describes the basic care that DAWG dogs receive while at our shelter. The cost reflects what you would pay at an average veterinary office. Food and grooming costs are not included, neither are the costs of running and maintaining our shelter.

Please keep these costs in mind when you are making your adoption donation. We strongly recommend a minimum $150 donation for adult dogs and $250 for puppies to help us continue our important work on behalf of homeless dogs and the greater community. Anything you can give beyond the minimum is greatly appreciated.

Bordetella $22.00
Microchip (Cost and Registration Fee) $50.00 – $75.00
Dental Exam/Cleaning $300.00+
Spay/Neuter $250.00 – $700.00
Advantix (4 Applications) $65.00+

Most of our DAWG dogs receive the following:
X-Rays $78.00
Full Blood Panel and Urinalysis $160.00
Anesthesia $80.00 – $110.00 first hour

Additional care required by some DAWG dogs:
Dental Surgery $50.00 (per hour)
Soft Tissue Surgery $75.00 – $280.00 (per hour)
Abdominal Surgery $450.00 (per hour)
Orthopedic Surgery $600.00 – $800.00 (per hour)
