These dog's owners are looking to re-home their pets. Please contact the owners directly if you're interested in adopting one of these dogs. DAWG does not have documentation or information on these dogs or what their medical and behavioral histories are-- we would simply like to provide a resource to assist these owners in their search for a new home for their dogs. We also list some dogs here that are currently living at other rescues. Some of these dogs may also be lost and looking for their owners.
Leroy is a lovable American Staffordshire Terrier mix puppy, who is 9 months old and full of energy and personality. He loves to go on walks and is very easy on the leash. Leroy is house trained, crate trained, up‐to‐date on all vaccinations and microchipped. Leroy was rescued on June 6, 2019 from a young couple that was having a child and could not manage both a baby and puppy. We made every possible effort to keep Leroy but many circumstances (two older dogs for one) have led to the need for finding a new home.

Lucy is a 6-year-old chihuahua/jack russell mix. She is healthy and very sweet with people. She’s great with kids and loves to cuddle and sleep in your lap. She’s being rehomed because she isn’t getting along with another dog in the home, though she gets along with another dog in thier home just fine. She’d do best as the only dog in the home. For more information please reach out to Kip at 805-455-1515.
Sid is a funny, affectionate, loyal, and sweet 5 year old chihuahua mix. He is great on a leash and is trained to relieve himself outside. He loves to play with his caretakers, new friends, and other small dogs. He does have issues with food possessive and territorial aggression in some situations. Needs a caretaker who is willing and able to train him in the right direction.

Meet Valor (left)! He is about 15 months, unaltered and he’s a very loving boy. He knows sit, stay, down, shake, loves water, and playing fetch. He is the best car passenger ever. He sits very quietly.
Current on vaccinations and licensing. Please contact 805-896-1859 if interested in adopting.
My name is Lucy (2) and I’m a five year old shepherd who is looking for a loving family. I was rescued from Ventura County Animal Services in hopes that CARL would be able to help me find a home.
I love people and playing with toys. Everyone at the shelter likes walking me because I’m well behaved on a leash and pretty easy going. I love to roll around in the grass with my tongue flailing around!
I’m not a big fan of little dogs or cats. Small fluffy things look like toys to me! While I would do best as the only dog in the home, I think I could make friends with another large dog if I am introduced properly.
I love my walks, but I also love exploring and chasing balls! Any exercise works for me!
Please consider me when looking for your next loyal goofball! If you are familiar with shepherds, I’m sure you will fall in love with me in no time.I have not been with CARL long, but I have already made a ton of new friends! To fill out an adoption form please visit carldogs.org
