These dog's owners are looking to re-home their pets. Please contact the owners directly if you're interested in adopting one of these dogs. DAWG does not have documentation or information on these dogs or what their medical and behavioral histories are-- we would simply like to provide a resource to assist these owners in their search for a new home for their dogs. We also list some dogs here that are currently living at other rescues. Some of these dogs may also be lost and looking for their owners.

Nani

Nani is a 6.5 month female pitbull. She's microchipped and was spayed on 4/6. She's very dominant and would likely do best in a home with an older, well trained dog that can put her in her place so to speak. Either that or as an only dog with a very involved owner willing and able to set aside plenty of time for training. She's VERY sweet and cuddly with humans, however seems to get separation anxiety when left alone. I have cameras that watch her when I'm out and she does stop the whining after a good 20 minutes or so.

Pearl

"Pearl" was found wandering around Arroyo Grande Village 2 weeks ago.  She is Grey/whit and approx 3yo.  Very sweet...loves people and dogs.  Not that into cats.

Pearl is so sweet and just wants to be loved.  She has been fixed, has no medical issues and really needs to get out of this Kill facility.  They already have 5 other Grey/white Pits there.

Her info is:

ID# A223176

Has been in shelter since 2/16/18

Her ears are not cropped.

PLEASE ....She needs to be moved out of this shelter as she has no chance of adoption here.  She will be put down as they are close to being out of room.  She deserves better and is a very sweet girl!!!

Benji

I am a nine-year-old Australian Shepherd with a ton of life, energy and love to give. I was rescued eight years ago. When my family brought me home they began to see I had issues socializing and had clearly been through something that they were not aware of. They hired trainers.  Then came my favorite person, Michelle from Trail Dogs. She saw the real me and knew that with the right encouragement I would blossom to be the beautiful dog that I am today. It wasn't the easiest road but now, 2 1/2 years later, I have worked my butt off from not being able to walk by a fence with dogs behind it, to being able to enjoy hikes with a pack of dogs! I have so much potential and I am SO smart; you can teach me anything!!  I am a really great guy with a ton of potential. I would be best in a home as an only dog (though I have lived with a female shepherd my whole life) and with no, or older, kids. I need to be with someone that understands my needs and can provide me with structure and boundaries. I am so sweet and love going on hikes and adventures. I am crate trained (car & home), e-collar trained, house broken, neutered and up to date on my vaccines. I am ready to go!   (currently in San Diego)  Contact Michelle @ 424.625.8067   (2-12)

Riley

Riley is a handsome 1 and a half year old Catahoula Leopard mix, and weighs about 50 lbs.

He hasn't spent much time around children, but is good with most dogs. He is friendly when meeting new people, but is sometimes hesitant with new men (but warms up quick when offered a treat!).

He is neutered, up to date on shots, and is micro chipped. He is a high energy pup and loves going on walks. Riley loves to snuggle, play tug-of-war, and chase a ball! He is very smart, loyal, loving and protective. Needs to work on barking a little too much, and doesn’t like cats.

Riley is housebroken, crate trained, and knows basic commands. We appreciate your help in finding him a new home.

Thanks,

Miranda
