DAWG does not have documentation or information on these dogs or what their medical and behavioral histories are-- we would simply like to provide a resource to assist these owners in their search for a new home for their dogs. We also list some dogs here that are currently living at other rescues. Some of these dogs may also be lost and looking for their owners.

Rosie

Rosie is a joyful, friendly girl. She is very affectionate with everyone she meets. She is great in a house and is completely house broken, and knows how to use a doggie door. Rosie likes to rearrange her bedding into a little nest, and then plop down to take a nap. It’s so cute! She would definitely win in a snoring contest too!

Rosie is calm and quiet and will enjoy hanging out while you work or watch TV. But if you get the leash out, she is ready to go! Hold on tight though because Rosie is a very strong. She also has a high prey drive… so no small pets in her house, please.

Rosie was rescued from the shelter after her time ran out. It seems she was used for breeding lots of puppies, but then one day found herself discarded on the streets of Compton. Her luck changed when the shelter picked her up and gave her lots of extra meals and TLC. She was tired and depleted and had been neglected for so long that the shelter thought she was much older than she actually is. She perked up quickly and is quite a spunky gal!

Rosie was adopted to a home with another dog, but it turns out she wants all the attention for herself.

Rosie is approximately 5 ½ years old, which is a great age for adventures, yet she won’t destroy your home. She is pleasantly quiet, but will alert with soft barks if strangers approach her home. She loves to go for car rides and will gently rest her head on the console with the most adorable expression. She is spayed, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations. Her soulful eyes tell a long story. Rosie is ready to be someone’s best friend!

Rogue

Rogue is looking for a new home.  She needs a home where she is the only dog.

She was bought from a respected breeder and is full German Shepherd.  She was raised with small kids from a puppy and is good with the kids when calm.  She does sometimes forget to be gentle with kids but she has never been aggressive toward kids.  She responds well to training and will sit, lay down, come when called and is practicing "stay" and "leave it."  Rogue loves to be in the mix of things and likes to cuddle.  She loves to go for rides in the car and on hikes.  She has never "escaped" from our yard, even though she is smart enough to open doors and gates.  She is crate trained.  She's a beautiful and sweet girl that will make a great dog for someone with lots of time and energy to work with her.

Rogue is up to date on shots, she's spayed and healthy.  She is 3 years old.  Rogue is larger than most German Shepherds and eats a LOT.

I am looking for a wonderful person to give Jordan his forever home. He is three years old and has spent way too much of his life in the backyard being ignored. He is looking for a loving family that will walk him, and play with him. He will be up to date on his vaccinations. He gets along with other dogs, and does good with kids. If you can give him that home please contact me. I live in Ventura, California.

Nani

Nani is a 8.5 month female pitbull. She's microchipped and was spayed on 4/6/18. She's very dominant and would likely do best in a home with an older, well trained dog that can put her in her place so to speak. Either that or as an only dog with a very involved owner willing and able to set aside plenty of time for training. She's VERY sweet and cuddly with humans, however seems to get separation anxiety when left alone. I have cameras that watch her when I'm out and she does stop the whining after a good 20 minutes or so.
