These dog's owners are looking to re-home their pets. Please contact the owners directly if you're interested in adopting one of these dogs. DAWG does not have documentation or information on these dogs or what their medical and behavioral histories are-- we would simply like to provide a resource to assist these owners in their search for a new home for their dogs. We also list some dogs here that are currently living at other rescues. Some of these dogs may also be lost and looking for their owners.
Sid is a funny, affectionate, loyal, and sweet 5 year old chihuahua mix. He is great on a leash and is trained to relieve himself outside. He loves to play with his caretakers, new friends, and other small dogs. He does have issues with food possessive and territorial aggression in some situations. Needs a caretaker who is willing and able to train him in the right direction.

Comet was rescued from a high kill shelter in Los Angeles. As Comet was quiet fearful, his rescuer sent him to a live-in training program to help him gain confidence and mental focus. While he is now more confident, Comet will always be somewhat timid in a more densely populated, urban environment; therefore, we are looking for a quieter neighborhood and lifestyle for him –– no small children. He needs a patient, compassionate human being, who is dog-dedicated. Once he trusts someone, Comet stays by their side. Comet loves other playful, gentle dogs and would do even better in a household with another dog. He loves his daily walks to the beach and play time with other dogs (see video links below). Comet needs a human(s) with a flexible schedule, as he will not do well staying home alone for 8+ hours a day. As well, he needs a home with a secure fenced in yard. Comet is located in Southern California. Comet comes with training support, as this will help his transition/integration into a new household. Comet is a 2 yo, 43 lbs, husky, white german shepherd mix. He does not have a typical husky coat. When brushed, he doesn’t shed much. For more information or for an adoption application, please contact his rescuer at firstname.lastname@example.org .

Rémy is a 10 mo Rhodesian Ridgeback mix with medium to adorable energy. Rémy went through a live-in training program at Blue Dog Ranch in Burbank, California. Rémy’s adopter(s) will receive training support to make sure Rémy’s training method is transferred and his transition into a forever home is successful. Rémy is playful, yet quick to chill out! He is dog-friendly and will do best with dogs his size and energy level. Rémy needs a confident, active, dog-dedicated human with flexible work schedule. He would also do best in a home with a secure, fenced in yard in a quieter neighborhood. For more information or application, please contact email@example.com
My name is Lucy (2) and I’m a five year old shepherd who is looking for a loving family. I was rescued from Ventura County Animal Services in hopes that CARL would be able to help me find a home.
I love people and playing with toys. Everyone at the shelter likes walking me because I’m well behaved on a leash and pretty easy going. I love to roll around in the grass with my tongue flailing around!
I’m not a big fan of little dogs or cats. Small fluffy things look like toys to me! While I would do best as the only dog in the home, I think I could make friends with another large dog if I am introduced properly.
I love my walks, but I also love exploring and chasing balls! Any exercise works for me!
Please consider me when looking for your next loyal goofball! If you are familiar with shepherds, I’m sure you will fall in love with me in no time.I have not been with CARL long, but I have already made a ton of new friends! To fill out an adoption form please visit carldogs.org
