This sweet, shy little lady found a wonderful mamma in May of this year! Tader was a part of the Thanksgiving puppies who were abandoned in a muddy crate on DAWG’s lawn in serious need of medical attention. After the DAWG staff got these little pups healthy again physically, they were still very fearful and hesitant of people and were in need of some work learning how to trust people again! Here’s what this sweet girls’ new mamma said about her new little love:
I am so grateful that I adopted Tater (aka Mashed Potato) Tater was one of the Thanksgiving puppies, and was almost feral when I got her. It's definitely been a journey with her- when I first brought her home there were a few times when I was afraid that she'd never be "normal", but over the past few months, she's blossomed into a smart, loving, sweet and funny little dog. She's still a bit crazy at times, but she's still a puppy, so that's to be expected. Huge thanks to Brian from DAWG, who worked with the both of us, and gave me some fantastic lessons on how to gain her trust and make her feel secure... the personalized training he gave us was invaluable in turning a scared, skittish puppy into a confident fun member of the family. Tater has brought me so much joy, I am so glad I came to DAWG and was matched so perfectly with my little fur baby.
Thanks again to everyone there at DAWG, what you do is truly fantastic!
